Back Tidings

What we collect, and what we don't.

Tidings is a product about not being tracked and interrupted. It would be strange to build the waitlist any other way. This page is short because there is not much to say.

What the form collects

Your email address.
So we can write to you once, when early access opens.
Who you said you'd use it with, if you answered.
It tells us who to build for first. It is a category like “parents”, never a name.
Your language, and which link brought you here.
So we know which audiences and which languages this reaches. Nothing identifies you.

What we don't do

The one third party

The page loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google sees your IP address when it serves them. That is the only request this site makes to anyone but itself. If that matters to you, it is worth knowing rather than buried.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Sign-ups go to a private spreadsheet only we can open. We keep them until Tidings launches and we have written to you, or until you ask us to delete yours — whichever comes first. If the project is abandoned, the list is deleted.

Getting it deleted

Email [email protected] and say the word. No form, no reason needed, no attempt to talk you out of it. We will confirm when it is gone.

If this changes

If we ever collect more than this, the page changes first and anyone already on the list gets told. Quietly broadening what we collect would be the sort of thing this product exists to object to.
